Light the Town Pink Kicks Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Updates

On Tuesday, October 4th, St. John’s Health Foundation and St. John’s Medical Center kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the annual Light the Town Pink event. A big crowd packed the Goldpiece Room at the Historic Wort Hotel to hear from SJMC CEO Paul Beaupre, Dr. Bobby Jones, and breast cancer survivor Mercedes Huff, among others. Dr. Beaupre pointed out that mammography rates are already beginning to rise in Sublette County–thanks to the equipment that SJMC donated. Dr. Jones offered his take on the importance of 3D mammo as a prevention tool that increases early detection. And Mercedes Huff shared her personal experiences as a survivor and her thanks to the team at St. John’s who helped her on her journey.
