King Joins St. John’s Health Foundation
Updates
St. John’s Health Foundation is pleased to announce that Mary Katherine King has been named Director of Stewardship and Special Events. Mary Katherine King had previously served St. John’s Health as Assistant to the CEO and Project Manager of Strategic Planning.
“Mary Katherine has been a volunteer, event participant and stellar contributor to the work here at the Foundation and she brings an impressive set of skills and experience to this role. We are delighted to have her join our team,” said John Goettler, Foundation President.
King is responsible for working closely with donors, volunteers, and community members to increase donor engagement with the Foundation as well as the impact of community events. As the Foundation staff liaison to the St. John’s Auxiliary, King will work closely with the volunteers to organize and promote the Spring Fling Gala and the Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
King is also coordinating with the organizers of third-party fundraising events: Phil Leeds of Skinny Skis on the Run ’n’ Ride for the Cure, Alison Kyle on Shirley’s Heart Run, Julie Guttormson on Rock the Ride and Eddie Kolsky on the Steve Winograd Diabetes Tennis Tournament.
King joined St. John’s Health in May, 2013. Prior to joining St. John’s Medical Center, King served as Director of Operations for the Eden Group. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, King holds a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University.
