Medical Center and Auxiliary Welcome First Baby of the Year

St. John’s Health announces the birth of the First Baby of the New Year, who arrived at 3:23 pm on January 2, 2018. Baby Lucas Walter Landis is the first child for parents Lisa and Ian Landis of Wilson, WY. Delivered by obstetrician Dr. Mary Girling, Lucas weighed 5 lbs, 12 oz and measured 19 inches. The nurses for the labor and delivery were Marc Tetenman, RN, and Beverly Boyce, RN. He was cared for at St. John’s by pediatrician Dr. Travis Riddell and nurses Stacie Tunison, RN, and Krista Halminiak, RN.

The hospital Auxiliary recognized the birth by coordinating a warm welcome on behalf of over twenty community businesses and individuals. St. John’s CEO Paul Beaupré, MD, Auxiliary member Joni Upsher, and Auxiliary president Connie Hansen presented the family with gift baskets of toys, baby care items, and numerous gift certificates to be enjoyed by the proud new parents at local shops and restaurants.

“First Baby” coordinator for the Auxiliary, Janet Wood, RN, extended the Auxiliary’s appreciation for the business community’s support of the First Baby program.
