In a special board meeting Monday, the hospital’s board of trustees unanimously authorized its administration to begin negotiating with both firms. The facilities committee, composed of representatives of hospital staff, board members and the community, recommended the board put forward the two companies and let the administration decide.
Trustee Liz Masek, the head of the facilities committee, said the committee took into consideration several factors, like the firms’ experience in Wyoming and the region’s climate, previous work for St. John’s, and local contacts and experience.
