
Connie Hansen
Ex Officio, SJH Auxiliary President
Connie is the St. John’s Auxiliary President and has been a Recreation Therapist for 30+ years. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Physical Education. She went on to earn her M. Ed. from Springfield College in Massachusetts, in Recreation and Leisure Studies, with an emphasis in Therapeutics. She started her career in Adult Day Health working with the frail elderly, in Pleasant Hill, CA. After 2 ½ years she was hired by Santa Clara Valley Medical Center to work in the acute rehabilitation unit with spinal cord injury, brain injury and other patients needing support in their recovery. She worked at VMC for almost 18 years, and was promoted to department supervisor in 2000.
With her husband, John, and their three dogs, she moved to Jackson Hole in March of 2002. She was hired as the Director of Therapeutic Recreation at St. John’s Living Center, in January of 2003. Connie was actively involved in supporting the Living Center’s transition to an Eden Alternative Registered home and she was also active in supporting the transition to Sage Living.
She’s a lover of the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, skiing and spending time with her husband, their friends and their two Australian shepherds, Breeze and Range.
Connie has served as President of St. John’s Auxiliary since 2018.
