Mike Minter graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, full basketball scholarship, and a Baker Scholar. Mike then went to the University of Virginia for his MBA. Mike spent his career in the investment banking industry. He began at Blyth Eastman Dillon, moved to First Boston, Lehman Brothers, and finally Smith Barney. At Lehman and Smith Barney, Mike served as the Managing Director/Group Head-recruited to lead capital raising for and M&A coverage to U S and international telecommunications companies. In addition to working with almost all major companies in the United States, advised on privatizations/financings in South Korea, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Spain, Argentina, and the Netherlands.
Mike served on the hospital board of Lawrence Hospital, a 194 bed facility in Bronxville, NY for 13 years. Mike started and chaired for the first 4 years the annual golf tournament which raised $1.5 million up to the time he moved to Wyoming. Mike participated in a number of other volunteer commitments within the community including thirteen year member of the board of Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, MA. Mike and his wife Emmy purchased their home in Jackson in 2010, and moved here full time.
Mike has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since January 2019.
