Nathan (Nate) Holt, Ph.D., received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from the University of Mississippi where he graduated summa cum laude from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and was a National Science Foundation fellow. Nate then received M.Stat. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics from the University of Florida. During his studies at UF he completed internships at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C., co-authored several scholarly articles.
Nate spent over five years as a senior consultant with William E. Wecker, Associates, Inc., a statistics and applied mathematics consulting firm, where he worked on consulting projects spanning a broad range of industries, including pharmaceutics, consumer products, and finance.
In March 2018 Nate became Vice President of Roundtable Analytics, Inc., a North Carolina-based company that builds analytics and simulation modeling software for hospital emergency departments. In parallel to his career at Roundtable Analytics Nate pursues other opportunities in health care; he is teaching a biostatistics course to graduate-level nursing students at St. Francis Medical Center (Illinois) College of Nursing and recently coauthored an article that was accepted for publication by Pediatric Emergency Care.
Nate resides in Jackson and is an avid outdoorsman.
