Robert Halper, MD

Robert M. Halper, MD, MBA, FACR is retired from Radiology Associates of Atlanta. Dr. Halper served Piedmont Hospital in this role from 1977 until 2016. Dr. Halper graduated from Columbia University, attended the University of Cincinnati Medical School and secured his MD. His training included the University of Washington and a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Robert Breck Bingham Hospital at Harvard Medical School. He earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University in 1997. Dr. Halper’s faculty and administrative positions include as an instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School (1976-1977); staff radiologist at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Center (1976-1977); visiting instructor at Emory University Medical School (1977-1978); and Chairman, Department of Radiology at Piedmont Hospital (1992-1997); and President, Radiology Associates of Atlanta (1992-2000 and 2012-2016). Bob and his wife Nanci have four grown children and three grandchildren. Bob and Nanci live in Jackson and maintain a home in Atlanta, and they enjoy travel, photography, skiing, biking, hiking and many other outdoor pursuits.

Robert has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2019.
