Hospital Board Seeks Applicants for Vacancy

The St. John's Health Board of Trustees is accepting written expressions of interest for the position of Trustee of Teton County Hospital District, dba St. John's Health. The board was notified of the upcoming vacancy upon receipt of a written letter of resignation from Elizabeth Masek, effective December 31, 2019.

"We are extremely grateful for Liz’s contributions to St. John's Health," said Cynthia Hogan, board chair. "She showed great leadership, particularly in the area of patient advocacy, and helped move our focus toward keeping our community healthy, rather than just treating people when they are sick."

In her resignation letter, Masek noted that her increased travel away from the community made it difficult to be physically present for Board activities.

Trustees will appoint a candidate to fill the vacancy on the board. The appointment is from January 2020 through the November 2020 Teton County general election. Letters of interest with resume should be sent via email to snstec@tetonhospital.org or sent via mail to Shannon Stec, Executive Assistant, St. John's Health, P.O. Box 428, Jackson, WY 83001.

Applications must be received by September 24, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Select candidates will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire. Trustees interviews with finalists will be held October 1 and 2 in meetings open to the public.

For information about the application process, contact Shannon Stec at 307.739.7502 or snstec@tetonhospital.org. According to state statute, except for employees of St. John's Health, any qualified elector resident in Teton County (which comprises the hospital district) is eligible to serve.

Hospital bylaws, including information about the role of Trustees, can be viewed at www.tetonhospital.org/bylaws.
