Trustee Appointment Summary – 1/17/23 Update

Six candidates are under consideration for the Board of Trustees vacancy created by Lou Hochheiser’s passing. Candidate interviews will be held on January 26, 2023, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. For submissions from each candidate and a list of prospective interview questions, click here. The public may listen to the interviews via Zoom. Following the interview session, the Board of Trustees will enter Executive Session at 2:30 pm to discuss the candidates. Due to confidentiality in accordance with Wyoming State Statute, the Executive Session will be open to Trustees only. The announcement of the Trustee will be made in the Public Session of the meeting, which begins at 4:00 pm.

After this appointment is made, the Board will open a second application period to fill the position created by the resignation of Trustee Scott Gibson, a notice of which was received on January 11. Applications will be accepted from January 27 through February 17, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Candidate interviews will take place on February 28, 2023. A Zoom link will be provided for the public to listen to the interviews. The candidates will be discussed in the executive session of the board meeting at 3 pm and the Trustees will announce the appointment during the public session of the board meeting, which begins at 4:00 pm.

The process to appoint a Trustee has been directed by the Board Chair and is in accordance with WY State Statutes and the SJH Board Bylaws.

December 7, 2022 – Public Board Meeting

The Board of Trustees discuss the process they will use to appoint a new Trustee to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Trustee Lou Hochheiser.

January 11, 2023 – Application Deadline

The vacancy is advertised and applications were accepted until January 11, 5:00 pm. Numerous inquiries were made.

January 17, 2023 – Applications Publication

After being redacted for confidential information and compiled, the applications are distributed to the Trustees and published on www.stjohns.health/board.

January 26, 2023 – Candidate Interviews and Trustee Appointment

Candidate interviews will be held on January 26 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. The public may listen to the interviews via Zoom. Following the interview session, the Board of Trustees will enter Executive Session at 2:30 pm to discuss the candidates.
